We want all learners to be resilient and successful. As we know, many students do not come to school with the ability to regulate their own emotions so they can focus on learning. H.A.R.T. is the tool to use in conjunction with trauma informed schools enabling them to: assist individual learners, support teachers, and make informed decisions about overall effectiveness of evidence based practices.
Schools sometimes struggle with being informed, in real time, of specific student needs so that they can help co-regulate at the moment it begins.

Student Dysregulated
How do you help a dysregulated student to regulate? How do you do it without causing a disruption for the entire class?
A dysregulated student needs immediate support to reset before escalating out of control.
When a child is becoming dysregulated they are in the process of entering a freeze, flight, or fight response. Responding to a situation before they enter this state provides the best opportunity of helping that student regulate.
H.A.R.T. allows teachers to quickly and discreetly reach out to team members that are able to help dysregulated students reset before they escalate beyond control.

Timing is essential in a potential crisis situation. Utilizing this app allows caregivers to make a discrete and specific call for help without further alarming the student.
With either our mobile application or website staff can notify responders with specific information about situations.

Co-Regulate Assistance Arrives
Upon arrival, responders arrive on scene with detailed information about the situation, prepared to take immediate action to help co-regulate with students and help them reset and continue their day.
Once a student has been regulated and ready to move forward.

Student Reset
Responders can quickly and easily capture data about how the situation was resolved. This information is saved and readily available should the next responder need that information, for that student.

Data Analysis
Using this app how can we analyze the data?
Once we have this information the trauma team can analyze the data to make informed decisions about the school environment, specific students, even time of day. This data can be used to make informed decisions about how to improve system expectations and processes across the board.
